Based in the Haute Vienne, Limousin, Le Jardin Créatif has been open since March 2018 offering exciting short courses and workshops in sculpture and natural crafts, horticulture and gardening, stained glass, metalwork and floral arts. Open Saturdays March- end of October 10am-4pm for nursery & garden visits. Courses are held Monday – Saturdays. Closed on Sundays.

Our nursery & garden are open every Saturday from early March until the end of October from 10am-4pm and for customers who come for workshops and courses on the day of the course. Our first open Saturday will be 4th March 2023. (Very occasionally we may have a ‘fermeture exceptionnelle’ or have to close early due to unforeseen circumstances so if you are travelling a long way check with us the day before) We have a planned closure on 9th September and an early closing at 3pm on the 19th August.

Courses: Throughout the year we run half day, full day and two-day courses covering topics and activities including willow weaving, willow sculpture, greenwood crafts, chicken wire sculpture, metal work, ‘junk art’, stained glass, wreath making, specialist plant cultivation, grafting and caring for your orchard among many other subjects. Courses are organised ‘ON REQUEST’: we will organise a workshop of your choice on a date to suit. If there is a group of 6-8 friends who want to come along together we can make it an exclusive ‘Group Booking’. For individuals or smaller groups, we will advertise the additional places on our schedule to make up the numbers. Plant Nursery & Garden: We have a small nursery ‘La Petite Pépinière de La Guinandie’ where we grow and sell herbaceous perennials, cottage garden plants, herbs, ornamental edibles, dye plants, grasses, veg plants etc from our own nursery. Our garden is open to nursery customers when the nursery is open; Saturdays between early March and end of October 10.00-16.00 if you are unable to make it on Saturdays you can browse our plant list online and place an order for collection or delivery. (Closed Sundays). We can also do guided tours and talks for garden clubs, art and craft groups, photography groups and other local clubs by prior appointment. Private guided tours & talks for small groups can be booked, please get in touch for prices. Our current plant list can be found on our Nursery & Garden webpage.

Consultancy: We can also offer individual garden consultancy and design, and private tuition. Please get in touch if you or your group are interested in consultancy, a bespoke course or private tuition on any horticultural subject – we are open to suggestions – and are happy to come out to your garden club to do talks, demonstrations and bespoke courses.

Staying in the Region/Holiday activities: If you would like to visit the region and stay nearby so that you can join one of our courses or workshops during your holiday or need somewhere to stay over if you have a long travel, we have linked up with some local gîtes and B&B owners that we can recommend. You can find out more here: HOLIDAYS

Testimonials: here are a few extracts from some lovely emails that we have been sent…

‘just wanted to thank you so much for a wonderful experience on Tuesday.   My Heron is in a pride of place and I am proud to have made it myself (obviously with loads of help from Paul)’

‘Thank you both for a fantastic day. I’ve never done anything like this before and thoroughly enjoyed myself. Your organisation, and fab lunch made for a brilliant day. ‘Cedric’ has been much admired already. I shall definitely be looking at other days to come and get creative with you.’
‘Many thanks for a delightful visit to your garden yesterday.  We all loved it and learnt from our visit.  Your talk about pelargonium and soft stem propagation was most informative and just the right level for our group.  I have been shown so many times how to take cuttings and look after them, but now you have clearly explained why we do them that way and it all starts to make sense.  I for one am inspired to give it yet another go!’
