This half day workshop will cover how to grow and use a variety of herbs and how to harvest and preserve them for a range of culinary uses, tisanes, natural oils and creams for skin care and natural wellbeing.
This workshop runs from 1pm-4pm on Friday 3rd October. Cost 55 euros per person. (All materials plus light refreshments are included).
You will learn how to grow, care for and harvest annual, biennial and perennial herbs, we will look at methods of preserving herbs such as drying, making pesto, infusions, decoctions, tinctures, oils, salves/creams and candles. We will also focus on the properties and uses of 10 easy to grow garden herbs. There will also be a selection of herbs available to but on the day to start or add to your herb garden
You will take home a pot of Calendula lip balm/salve which we will make on the day, a pack of calendula seeds, a sample of lavender oil and a citronella candle.
