This afternoon workshop is aimed at beginners who are considering acquiring a greenhouse or polytunnel and will cover the basics of selecting and using protective structures for growing vegetables and ornamental crops.
We will compare glass and polythene and discuss the advantages and disadvantages of each and look at pot culture and growing direct in the soil as well as maximising year round use of your tunnel or greenhouse.
This course links with other courses with a horticultural theme that we are offering for beginners including ‘Vegetable growing for beginners’, ‘Soil Science‘ and ‘Basic botany‘
