This afternoon workshop is suitable for beginners and is a good starting point for anyone wanting to learn how to use this readily available material for making decorative pieces. We supply all of the materials to make a pair of flowers on a single spike plus light refreshments. Chicken wire is fairly malleable and easy to bend using pliers but does require a little strength and dexterity.

This half-day workshop in plant propagation will look at the basics of propagating from seed and from softwood cuttings. You will learn a little botany that will help you to be more successful in rooting cuttings and understanding the different types of seeds, seed sowing tips and overcoming different types of dormancy in seeds.
This half day introductory course is running on Tuesday 5th May 2020 1.30-4pm 25€ per person

After a light lunch of warming winter vegetable soup and home baked bread there will be a practical session where we will first demonstrate the techniques and then you will practice the practical work to develop the basic skills required to create a laid hedge. This practical session will also include a little tool maintenance and tool safety and will cover traditional and modern tools and materials used in hedge laying.
